| I seen the Movie The Passion of Christ and I love it I know its sad and what hurts so much watching Jesus suffering so much cause of OUR sins..Mel Gibbson your are blessed and Jesus and God the father is with you...You just told it the way it was and remember Jesus did get that many blows and suffered so much ...Jesus came to St.Bridget and told her he was hit, punched. whipped and scrouged 5,480 times and lost 60 thousand drops of blood....Sometimes the truth Hurts. I am ashamed that I myself have nailed him to the cross cause of my sins.. I hope and pray that Our Lord Jesus can forgive me for all the hurt I have caused him..........Lets not hurt our Lord Jesus anymore and stop sinning...God Bless you all...Betty |

Hello there,
I’m not sure if this letter will get to Mr. Gibson but, I wanted to try. My reason for writing to him is to thank him for making the film “Passion of the Christ”. I was always a spiritual person. My mother brought all her children up to believe in God and Jesus. She was always showing us movies about Jesus and trying to teach us his word. The older movie “Lamb of God” and the others didn’t compare to Mr. Gibson’s movie. The older movie never showed the true brutality of what was done to Jesus. But, that’s not the whole reason for my letter.
In November of 2005 I was diagnosed with breast cancer with some lymph node involvement. This was devastating as I was only 37years old and have a 7 year old son. This was also terrible news for the fact that I watched my mother die of the same thing when I was only 16 years old. Because I had breast cancer with lymph node involvement I would have to undergo 6months of chemotherapy and after that radiation (which I haven’t started yet). Before I started my chemotherapy I decided to purchase for myself “Passion of the Christ” and some other movies to help me get through the long ordeal that I was going to face. I decided to watch “Passion of the Christ” that night. I must tell you I cried through the whole thing. I started to read the bible and pray a lot more. I started to explore the catholic religion.
I had my first chemotherapy treatment on December 5, 2005. I new at that point the ordeal I was going to face. However, thanks to Mr. Gibson making a movie about the truth of what really happened to Jesus and how brutal things were back in Jesus’ time. The torture that he new he would face and the power to change it but didn’t, my chemo treatments were nothing. Don’t get me wrong, there were times of great sickness from the treatments, but while I was losing my stomach the torture of Jesus would flash in my head.
I realized that what I was going through was nothing, I knew that chemotherapy didn’t compare to what out savior endured for us.
I have since started going to a catholic church and in the fall will be starting classes with my son. When things in my life get me down and feeling sorry for myself, I pray for Gods help and remember how Jesus died for us and what he went through. It puts a different perspective on these earthly things. It seems nothing, pain or otherwise, bothers me as much anymore.
Thank you Mr. Gibson!
God Bless
Sincerely,
Rachel Yanus

| It's marvelouse peace of Art which is very close to the actual life story of The Holy Jesus.
I am a Muslim and feel affection to Jesus alot. I realize all of his efforts and passions. I really appreciated Mr. Gibson and his team upon all of their work in this regard. In Islam we also have a similar Subject holy titled "HUSSAIN", if you all go through on the said research and make a movie on this to show the world his passions too and the political background he faced, shall be admired by all the viewers and the market. |

| After seeing The Passion I felt in awe. I have read the bible and I knew the things they did but to see them so vividly made every cell in my body feel his pain. I have two young sons and when I saw Mary there with Jesus and wanting so badly to help him, my heart hurt with her pain. I renewed my faith that night right there watching this movie. I still cry and ache thinking about it. I know that people have said that it wasn't right to make this but I say that if God didn't think it was right to make it, then it would have never been made. I thank you God for giving you this picture to make Mel Gibson. I believe that you are one of God's instruments.
God Bless |

| Mel Gibson has a brave heart. One of the saints. I haven't seen the film and I dare not. It's bad enough reading the gospels and soaking my book in tears.
God has chosen Mel for a specific job, which he has done oh so well by all accounts! Encourage him! |

| How do you put into words gratitude for a film so needed, not only for myself personally, but for the whole world who saw "The Passion of the Christ".? The Holy Spirit most definetley inspired and led Mel Gibson and the cast and all involoved to bring to life the true Gospel of Christ's Passion. Because of this film, I finally entered the religious life and am a consecrated Catholic Sister. I make sure I watch this beautiful movie, once a month so that I never become complacent or forget what our Lord has done for us. Each time I watch it, my heart is ripped out in sorrow for my part in crucifying my Lord, but the unconditional Love that Christ reveals leaves one speechless. God Bless you Mr. Gibson and all involved. I have never been as happy and fullfilled in my choice now as a nun, and alot had to do with the watching of this film. Peace of Jesus and Mary to all. |

| I think what we as a human must do is die like Crists to live. What Jesus did was buitiful. Satan takes shots at us to all the time and to may kill us some day but to have Gods sprit in us, death has no sting. Love is the only thing that the devil can't copy and love is the key to Jesus and to his kingdom. He laid his life down as we need to lay are life down to find lifes rest. Read his word. Love you all. |

| It's really unexplainable the way this film captures the images of what Jesus suffered on the last days on earth. When i saw the previews to the movie, i automatically knew, there was a message in there for all mankind. That it wasnt like any regular friday night movie. It takes a hold of your spirit, and your emotions rise up. I cried through the whole film. There was tears of joy, sadness, and appreciation. Overall the film was intensely power, this film will haunt you! Thank you Mel for sharing this fim, that will forever endure in my heart.
I dont care much for Academy awards, and whether or not the film received any.(no offense to anyone that participated in the making of the film) but i believe the real reward took place a long time ago, on the cross. |
